Esther Slade was born on December 14, 1966 in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Her formative years were spent on the islands of St.Croix and Antigua. She attended a private Christian academy for 12 years before leaving the islands to attend college on the US Mainland.

Ms. Slade earned an undergraduate degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

Ms. Slade’s first novel, Ayla’s Paradise was released in June of 2001 and received very good reviews. Her collection of poetry, Jouvert Morning will be released in the Fall of 2007.

Ms. Slade is currently married to Reynald St. Hilaire. The two reside in the Continental US.
